programme Monitor: A Sense of Order (1963) Bawden – who knew Liverpool
Street Station very well as he used it regularly whilst travelling
between London and Great Bardfield in Essex where he lived –
declared:..”I think the ceiling is absolutely magnificant, it is one of
the wonders of London”. And, as here depicted, who could disagree?
