Ethel Louise Spowers is a painter who specializes in lithographic prints of children Her style and artistic focus changed in 1928–29 when she studied linocut printmaking with Claude Flight at the Grosvenor School of Modern Art in London
. She was born in Australia, and began her career as a painter at the age of 15. She studied under Sir C. Power, who was one of the founders of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art.
Spowers has exhibited at various galleries across Australia and Europe, including the Royal Academy in London, where she showed her work for over 20 years.
