Linocut 1933 (also known as ‘In The Garden’). A very winsome print depicting the half-length nude figures of Adam and Eve amongst foliage in the Garden of Eden. After seeing this print at the exhibition ‘Colour Prints and Contemporary Oils’ at the Redfern Gallery, London, 1933 (priced 1.1/2 guineas) the eminent contemporary art critic Campbell Dodgson promptly bought it. (It is now in the British Museum, bequeathed by Dodgon in 1949)
