Linocut (1935). Printed from 3 blocks in Dark Crimson; Black Brown; Pink. Original image size: 25.6 x 30.3cm. Rumba derives from 1880’s Cuba, but by the time Tschudi heard this music in the Paris of the 1930’s, rumba had strains of both Spanish and African sounds infused. The hot colours, the subject matter, make this one of Tschudi’s most attractive linocuts.
Size: 27.5 x 32.6; paper 42.0 x 46.0cm.
Format: Giclée Print, Limited Edition (1/850) on 310gsm thick, 100% cotton rag. Hand-numbered and hand-embossed.
