Linocut 1931. Although Beaumont was influenced by Claude Flight and other artists of the Grosvenor School, here we see something more akin to a Cubist influence where the subject has been broken up and then reassembled into an abstract form, one which seems to capture an essence, both of vanity, and of the evocative beauty which underlies the vanity.
