Linocut (c. 1928). Printed from 3 blocks: emerald
green; cobalt blue; mauve. This print is reminiscent of bucolic images
by Sybil Andrews, Spower’s fellow pupil at the Grosvenor School.
Grosvenor School themes are also evident in the evocation of movement by
the farmer, and the flock of carefully depicted gulls swooping and
diving for worms over the ploughed field. Format:
Size: 17.3 x 26.6cm; paper: 28.3 x 37.6 cm
Format: Giclée Print, Limited Edition (1/850) on 310 gsm thick, 100% cotton rag. Embossed: Bookroom Art Press seal
